Recording Remote Hosts/Interviews with VoIP/Skype
Presentation by Dan York at PodCamp Boston 2 on October 28, 2007, that explored the methods and VoIP technologies available to record remote hosts or interviews. The presentation specifically addressed Skype and spent a significant amount of time on how you physically wire a "mix-minus" with diagrams etc. The audio recording of the preso will be made available, most likely from http://www.disruptiveconversations.com/ and will eventually be synced to this slide set here.

Presentation by Dan York at AstriCon 2007 about how to secure VoIP systems with a focus on the Asterisk open source PBX. The presentation outlines the issues involved with VoIP security, the tools out there to attack/test VoIP systems, best practices to defend against attacks and ends with some specific security recommendations for Asterisk. Telephony is Disrupted Because Voice No Longer Matters… (As Much) (Featured Blog)
Does "voice" communication really matter as much today in business communications? Think about it. When you need to reach someone today, what do you do? Do you call them on the phone? Or do you send them email? Or a text message? or IM? I know personally that my normal communication flow usually goes something like this: Instant Messaging; I check first to see if I can reach the person on some form of IM... SMS; if the matter is relatively important...
